§ 01 Acceptance
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of researchexperts.in, the Research Experts client dashboard, and any service we deliver to you ("Services"). By placing an order, signing up for the dashboard, or otherwise engaging us, you accept these Terms in full.
If you are placing an order on behalf of an organisation (a research lab, a coaching institute, an editing partner) you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
§ 02 Definitions
| "We", "us", "Research Experts" | Research Experts, the academic-services firm registered in Mohali, Punjab, India. |
|---|---|
| "You", "Client" | The individual or institution placing the order and to whom the deliverable is addressed. |
| "Document" | Any text, file, or asset you submit to us as input — thesis chapters, papers, drafts, reference lists. |
| "Deliverable" | Any output we produce for you — similarity report, paraphrased text, edited draft, formatted manuscript. |
| "Brief" | The instructions you provide at order placement, plus any clarifications captured in the order thread. |
| "Desk" | The Research Experts staff member coordinating your order; their reply on the order thread is authoritative. |
§ 03 Services we offer
The Services we currently provide are listed on the home page and the relevant service pages. They fall into three groups:
- Reports. Authentic similarity reports (Drillbit, iThenticate, Turnitin) and AI-content detection reports.
- Reduction. Manual plagiarism removal, AI-content humanisation, self-plagiarism remediation.
- Polish. Editing, proofreading, citation formatting, journal-style formatting, presentation support.
We do not write theses, dissertations, or research papers from a brief. We do not sell pre-written essays. We do not sit examinations on a client's behalf. Requests of this nature are politely declined at intake.
§ 04 Your responsibilities
For the Services to actually help, the following are on you:
- Authorship. The Document is your own work, or work you have permission to submit. We assume but do not verify this; you indemnify us against breach of this clause.
- Institutional compliance. Submitting your Document for paraphrasing, editing, or formatting is permitted by your institution. Many universities expressly permit external editing if disclosed; you are responsible for that disclosure.
- Honest use. The Deliverable is a learning aid and a draft; you will integrate it into your work with judgement, not pass it off as research you did not perform.
- Accurate brief. Stated deadline, similarity target, journal style, page count — accurate at submission.
- Timely clarifications. If the desk asks a question on the order thread, replying promptly keeps the deadline intact.
- Lawful content. The Document does not infringe third-party rights, defame any person, contain unlawful material, or violate export-control law.
§ 05 Our obligations
- Deliver the Deliverable to the brief, by the agreed deadline, at the agreed price.
- Maintain confidentiality of the Document — see the Privacy Policy for the full handling regime.
- Use suitably qualified subject experts; not assign your Document to anyone outside the disclosed circle of staff and contractors under non-disclosure.
- Communicate clearly through the order thread on intake, mid-flight, and at delivery.
- Stand by the Refund Policy, including free revisions where applicable and refunds where due.
§ 06 Pricing & payment
Prices are listed on the relevant service page or computed by the calculator at order placement. The price quoted at the moment of payment is binding for that order.
- Payment is required before work begins, except where a written invoice with payment-on-delivery terms has been issued (institutional clients).
- Indian customers are charged in INR with applicable GST.
- International customers are charged in INR or USD; the gateway converts to your card currency at its rate.
- Where the desk discovers, after intake, that the order is materially under-quoted (e.g. the document is twice the page count stated), it will pause and write to you with a revised quote before continuing. You may accept the revised quote or cancel under the Refund Policy.
- Promotional codes are subject to their stated validity, are non-transferable, and cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.
§ 07 Turnaround & delivery
The turnaround quoted at order placement starts from the moment payment is confirmed and the brief is complete. Time the desk waits on you for clarifications does not count against the turnaround.
Delivery is to the email address on the order, the dashboard, and any cloud-storage link you authorise. Once the Deliverable is in any of these channels and you have been notified, delivery is deemed complete.
Late delivery is governed by §4 of the Refund Policy.
§ 08 Intellectual property
Two principles govern IP in our work:
- You own what we deliver to you. Once paid for, the Deliverable is yours. We retain no right to publish it, resell it, exhibit it, or include it in marketing without your written consent. We may keep a working copy for the retention windows in the Privacy Policy and an anonymised order metadata record indefinitely.
- You retain ownership of what you submit. The Document remains yours throughout. We process it only for the limited purpose of delivering the Service.
Our brand, website, dashboard, and methodology remain ours. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that to you.
Where you grant us testimonial rights — by signing the post-delivery feedback form — that grant is the only basis on which we will quote your name or institution publicly. Anonymised aggregate statistics ("over 12 lakh reports delivered") do not require consent.
§ 09 Confidentiality
Your Document, brief, identity, and the fact that you used the Service are confidential information. We commit to:
- Restrict access to staff and contractors who need to handle the order, all under written non-disclosure.
- Not discuss your work in public forums, conference talks, blog posts, or marketing material.
- Not retain, archive, or contribute your Document to any plagiarism database, training corpus, or third-party index.
- Treat any informal disclosure made to the desk (e.g. supervisor friction, journal target) with the same discretion.
Confidentiality survives termination of these Terms indefinitely.
§ 10 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit material that is fraudulent, harmful, infringing, defamatory, or unlawful in India or your jurisdiction of submission.
- Use the Service to commit academic misconduct as defined by your institution — fabrication of data, ghostwriting in violation of disclosure rules, examination impersonation.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute Deliverables to third parties as a paid service.
- Probe, scan, or attempt to disrupt the website, the dashboard, or our infrastructure.
- Misrepresent your identity at sign-up or place chargebacks without first using the Refund Policy process.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this clause. Suspension does not relieve you of payment obligations for orders already in flight that we are willing to complete.
§ 11 Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability for any claim arising out of an order is capped at the amount you paid for that order.
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages — including loss of academic progress, missed graduation, journal rejection, viva outcome, or career consequence.
- We do not warrant that the Deliverable will achieve any particular grade, similarity score, or acceptance outcome — except where a similarity band has been agreed in writing in the brief.
- Nothing in this clause limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Indian consumer-protection law.
§ 12 Indemnity
You indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your breach of §4 (Your responsibilities) — particularly claims that the Document was not your own work, was submitted in violation of institutional rules, or contained unlawful material. The indemnity covers reasonable legal costs and any damages or settlement we are required to pay, capped at twice the order value, up to a maximum of ₹2,00,000.
§ 13 Suspension & termination
We may suspend an order or terminate an account at our reasonable discretion if we believe a clause of these Terms — particularly §10 (Acceptable use) — has been materially breached. Where we do so, we will write to you on the order thread with the reasons and, where applicable, refund any unearned portion of fees in line with the Refund Policy.
You may close your account at any time by writing to help@researchexperts.in. Closure does not release us from confidentiality, retention, or post-delivery support obligations on your prior orders.
§ 14 Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events outside its reasonable control — natural disaster, civil disturbance, country-wide internet outage, government order, pandemic-related shutdown. The desk will notify you as soon as practicable and propose a revised timeline. Your right to a deadline-based refund under the Refund Policy is preserved if the revised timeline is unacceptable.
§ 15 Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; the version number and effective date at the top change with every update. Material changes are notified to active dashboard users by email at least 14 days before they take effect, with a link to the previous version. Orders placed before the effective date are governed by the Terms in force on the date of payment; orders placed after are governed by the updated Terms.
§ 16 Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The dispute-resolution sequence is:
- Order thread. Most issues are resolved here within hours.
- Formal grievance. Email legal@researchexperts.in with the order ID and the clause you are invoking. Acknowledged within 1 working day; resolved within 10.
- Mediation. If still unresolved, both parties agree to attempt mediation through a mutually-agreed mediator before initiating litigation.
- Courts. Any litigation falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mohali, Punjab, India.
Indian customers retain all rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019; nothing in these Terms is intended to derogate from those rights.
