§ 01 Spirit of this policy
Research Experts has been delivering academic services since 2013. The reason a refund policy exists is not to set up a transaction battlefield — it is to put on paper what has always been our actual operating principle: if the work doesn't help you, we shouldn't keep your money.
The clauses below are written so that you, your guide, and our desk can agree quickly when something goes wrong. Where the clause is ambiguous, the desk is empowered to decide in your favour.
§ 02 Refund eligibility at a glance
Three buckets cover most situations. Use this as the quick reference; the detailed clauses follow.
Eligible — no questions
Cancellation before work starts. Deadline missed by >10%. Service we cannot fulfil (e.g. report tool unavailable). Duplicate or accidental payment.
We re-do it first
Brief partially unmet, similarity band missed, AI score above target, formatting errors. Free revision under §5; refund only if revision still fails.
Service was delivered
Plagiarism/AI report once generated. Subjective dissatisfaction with style after multiple revisions. Disputes raised more than 14 days after delivery.
§ 03 Cancellation by you
You can cancel an order at any point. The refund depends on how far the work has progressed when your written cancellation reaches the desk (email or dashboard message — the dashboard timestamp is authoritative).
| Before assignment to expert | 100% refund. Typically the first 30 minutes after payment. The dashboard shows status "Queued" or "Allocating." |
|---|---|
| After expert assigned, before substantial work | 90% refund. The 10% deduction covers desk handling, expert allocation fee, and payment-gateway charges. |
| Mid-work, < 50% complete | 60% refund. The desk's status note will indicate progress; the partial deliverable up to that point is shared with you. |
| Mid-work, ≥ 50% complete | 30% refund. The partial deliverable is yours to keep; we will not finish, but we will share whatever is ready. |
| After delivery | Not refundable on cancellation grounds. Use §5 (revision) or §6 (quality dispute) instead. |
If your cancellation is due to a personal emergency — illness, bereavement, deferred submission — write to the desk. We have always handled these compassionately and the percentages above are not the ceiling.
§ 04 Deadline guarantee
The turnaround quoted at order placement is a commitment. The grace tolerance and refund table are as follows.
| Up to 10% over agreed time | No refund — within tolerance. Example: 10-minute Drillbit report delivered in 11 minutes. |
|---|---|
| 10–25% late | 25% refund, automatically credited. |
| 25–50% late | 50% refund, automatically credited. |
| > 50% late, OR critical deadline missed | 100% refund. The deliverable is yours to keep. |
"Critical deadline" means a date you stated in writing at order placement that triggers an external consequence — submission portal closing, viva date, journal cut-off. Mark these clearly in the order notes; the desk re-confirms them on intake.
Delays caused by you (late clarifications, late instructions, files in unsupported formats) extend the deadline by the equivalent waiting period and do not trigger this clause.
§ 05 Free revision
Almost every quality dispute can be resolved with a revision before it becomes a refund. Our default revision allowance:
- Plagiarism & AI reduction: unlimited revisions until the agreed similarity / AI band is achieved, within 30 days of delivery.
- Editing, proofreading, formatting: two free revision rounds within 14 days of delivery.
- Drillbit / iThenticate / Turnitin reports: not applicable — see §6 below for re-run pricing.
- Thesis & dissertation chapters: three free revision rounds within 21 days of delivery.
To request a revision, reply on the order thread with the specific points to address. The desk will allocate the same expert wherever possible, and the revision is delivered in 30–60% of the original turnaround.
§ 06 Plagiarism & AI report orders
Reports (Drillbit, iThenticate, Turnitin, AI detection) sit in a different category because the cost is the report itself, not a person's labour. Once we have run the check and the PDF is in your hands, the service has been delivered.
- Refund: only if the report tool was completely unavailable on our end and we were unable to deliver any report at all.
- Re-run after edits: if you edit the document and want a fresh report, we offer a 25% re-run discount within 30 days of the original report. This is a discount, not a refund.
- Annexure errors: typos in the cover page, wrong author name, missing UGC band — corrected within 24 hours, free of charge.
- Disputed similarity: we walk you through every flagged source on a call. We do not refund a true similarity number you disagree with.
§ 07 Quality disputes
If after the revision rounds you still believe the deliverable does not meet what was promised, you may file a quality dispute within 14 days of final delivery. Process:
- Write to refunds@researchexperts.in with the order ID, the specific clauses of the brief you believe were not met, and any supporting evidence (guide's note, journal feedback).
- Within 2 working days, a senior reviewer outside the desk reviews the deliverable against the brief and writes back with a finding.
- If the finding is in your favour: free re-do by a different expert, OR a refund of up to 75% of the order value, your choice.
- If the finding is against: a written reasoning is shared. You may escalate once to the founder by emailing founder@researchexperts.in; that decision is final.
§ 08 What we cannot refund
Some scenarios are outside the policy. Listed plainly:
- Plagiarism / AI reports already delivered. The cost is the report. See §6 for re-runs.
- Subjective preference after revisions are exhausted — e.g. you prefer a different paraphrasing voice that nobody asked for at the brief stage.
- Outcomes outside our control — a journal rejection, a guide's stylistic dislike, a viva committee disagreement. We deliver the deliverable; we cannot guarantee a third party's reception of it.
- Documents you supplied incorrectly — corrupt files, password-protected PDFs you did not unlock, wrong version uploaded — provided we made a good-faith attempt and asked for clarification.
- Disputes raised more than 14 days after final delivery, except where a fault is structural (e.g. fabricated citation discovered later — those are always investigated).
- Chargebacks filed without first using this process. We strongly prefer talking to you over arguing with a payment-gateway adjudicator.
§ 09 How to claim
The fastest route is the order thread itself — the desk that delivered the order has the full context and can act in minutes. For formal claims, follow these three steps.
- Write to refunds@researchexperts.in from the email on the order, with subject "Refund — <Order ID>".
- Include in the body: the clause of this policy you are invoking, a one-paragraph reason, and any supporting evidence.
- Acknowledgement arrives within 1 working day; resolution within 5 working days for straightforward cases, 10 days for disputes that need a senior reviewer.
You do not need to phrase it formally. "We agreed 8% similarity, the report came back at 14%" is enough.
§ 10 Processing & timelines
Once approved, refunds are processed to the original payment method.
| UPI / IMPS / NEFT | Typically credited within 24–48 hours. |
|---|---|
| Indian credit / debit card | 3–5 working days; subject to your bank's settlement cycle. |
| International card / PayPal | 5–10 working days. Currency conversion is at the rate on the day of refund — small differences with the original charge are normal and we do not adjust for them. |
| Bank transfer (NRE/NRO, foreign) | 5–7 working days; you will be asked for the receiving account details if not already on file. |
| Wallet credit (alternative) | Instant. Useful if you intend to place a follow-up order — the credit applies automatically and never expires. |
If the refund has not arrived in your account by the upper bound listed, write to us with the gateway transaction ID — we will trace it with the gateway on your behalf.
§ 11 Promotional codes & package pricing
Refunds against orders placed with a promotional code, festival discount, or bundled package are computed on the net amount actually paid, not on list price. The discount is not refunded as cash but is restored to your account so you can re-use it on a follow-up order, subject to its original validity.
Bundled packages (multi-chapter thesis support, full PhD assist) are refundable on a pro-rata basis using the unit prices listed in the package agreement, not the post-bundle averaged price.
§ 12 Changes & jurisdiction
This policy may be updated; the version and effective date at the top of the page change with every update. Orders placed before an update are governed by the policy in force on the date of payment.
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Disputes that cannot be resolved through the process above fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mohali, Punjab.
